Reflecting for the First Four Months of 2022
I am sure we will all agree that the last two years have been extremely difficult for most of the people I know.
Let’s start with Covid, Ukraine, inflation, and the stock market which seems to belong on one of those bouncy things kids love to jump on. The truth is I was hoping for the world, and especially my family life to start looking like something more normal.
I was visualizing our church full on a Sunday morning, fewer people needing medical help, and a time when people are running back to the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Please, I do understand these dreams do not happen by themselves or without a lot of effort on the part of everyone. Start with our desire, mine included, to trust Christ with all our hearts to not only grow our own knowledge of Him and our real daily blessing but make a concerted effort to share the information of God’s love and to show others the life we lead is the direct result of our relationship with Christ.
Yes, good things are happening no matter what we hear or the sour notes some people are singing. Friends of ours just moved to their new church this week, which has taken them over three years to complete with all the legalities, but the finished result is amazing, and they will continue to grow and prosper, with God’s blessings.
So, for the rest of 2022 I promise to only look forward with the eyes of my Savior and to walk on the path that has been chosen for me since before I was conceived. No, this will not be a road of nothing but flowers, sweet breezes, and wonderful little puppies but I promise the rewards we will encounter will make 2022 the year we imagined.
I am asking all of us, young and old, tall, and short, new believers, and old believers, to trust in our God, believe that He loves us more than we can imagine and know if we can see a new world, it will be.
